Press Brake Operator

Essential Functions:  This job involves setting up and operating press brakes to bend and form materials; utilizing technical drawings, written instructions and verbal instructions to produce dimensionally correct parts; performing secondary processes (including but not limited to:  drilling, deburring and packaging) while the machine is running; testing and setting up tooling in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations to eliminate damage and ensure quality of parts; selecting and using proper dies and tooling; demonstrating awareness of bend allowances and how tools affect bend allowances; inspecting parts before and after production to verify conformance to specifications on the work order; loading and unloading materials and parts from conveyors, racks, tables, carts, pallets, baskets and boxes; reading work orders, labels, tags and other documentation regarding parts and materials, and ensuring paperwork is delivered to the proper location; and clocking in on work orders, moving completed work orders and paperwork to the next operation and entering the quantity completed.

Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Required Experience:  Ability to use precision measuring equipment.  Ability to read prints and drawings.  Math skills (adding, subtracting) and knowledge of fractions and decimal equivalents.  Knowledge of bend allowances preferred.  Familiarity with a manufacturing/industrial environment preferred.  Prior experience with metal working machinery and/or trade school or shop experience preferred.

Packaging/Shipping Coordinator

Essential Functions:  This job involves overseeing and guiding employees who are assisting with inventory handling and packaging of parts; creating part labels and shipping documentation; packaging parts in accordance with shipping instructions; making special pallets for shipping; directing deliveries and pick-ups, arranging trucks for loading and staging truckload shipments;  picking up and delivering parts as needed; reading and interpreting drawings, pictures and job information; and assembling and disassembling parts using hand and power tools.

Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Required Experience:  Must have computer skills.  Familiarity with a manufacturing/industrial environment and forklift experience.  Valid Virginia driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Welder/Fitter

Essential Functions:  This job involves welding various types of metal (steel, stainless steel, sheet metal and aluminum) using a variety of welding methods (including GMAW, FCAW, SMAW and GTAW); welding in the flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; utilizing technical drawings, weld symbols, written and verbal instructions to produce dimensionally correct parts; setting up and welding various precision weldments and components in position; examining welds for adherence to specifications; setting up and adjusting welding machines and other equipment as needed; operating grinders, torches, plasma cutters and other cutting and grinding equipment.

Physical Requirements:  Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Required Experience:  Prior welding experience; ability to use precision measuring equipment; ability to read prints, drawings and weld symbols; math skills (adding, subtracting) and knowledge of fractions and decimal equivalents; familiarity with a manufacturing/industrial environment preferred.

Laser Operator

Essential Functions:  This job involves setting up, adjusting and operating lasers to cut raw materials; utilizing technical drawings, written instructions and verbal instructions to produce dimensionally correct parts; performing secondary processes (including but not limited to: drilling, tapping, beveling, straightening, forming and packaging) while the machine is running; inspecting materials before cutting and inspecting parts before and after production to verify conformance to specifications on the work order; loading and unloading materials and parts from machines, racks, tables, carts, pallets, baskets and boxes; arranging parts in baskets and on pallets and carts in designated locations; reading work orders, labels, tags and other documentation; cleaning and maintaining the Laser Area; deburring parts as required by the work order; and performing routine maintenance on lasers in accordance with established procedures.

Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Required Experience:  Familiarity with a manufacturing/industrial environment preferred.
