Environmental Policy

Precision Steel Manufacturing Corporation makes every effort to reduce our environmental impact. We continually look to preserve the environment as an integral part of our business strategy and operating methods by incorporating the following practices:

  • Reduce the use of hazardous substances.
  • Minimize the amount of waste produced and seek opportunities to improve handling methods.
  • Prevent releases into the environment.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintain systems and procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Evaluate all new equipment and processes to determine if waste streams will be produced.
  • Reduce or eliminate waste streams.
  • Handle, store and dispose of any wastes that will be produced, per the written procedures that have been developed.

Our company engages in efforts to reduce our environmental impact by recycling and reusing materials and other items whenever possible.

An active Environmental Management Plan Team meets regularly to discuss environmental matters and to identify areas that need to be evaluated or addressed. All employees are involved in compliance and receive appropriate training within the company.

Safety Policy

Precision Steel Manufacturing Corporation places the highest priority on the safety, health and well-being of all employees in the workplace. To aid in this effort, we comply with all applicable provisions of the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) through the Virginia Department of Labor and Industry. The following safety guidelines are consistently implemented and reviewed:

  • New equipment and new processes are evaluated prior to implementation to identify and address potential issues.
  • Safety inspections and audits are routinely conducted to ensure compliance.
  • Any workplace incident will be analyzed to prevent future occurrences.

The company has a formalized program, led by a Safety Team, to address safety-related projects and practices. Employee safety expectations have been outlined by the team and include the following provisions:

  • Every employee is responsible for familiarity and implementation of workplace safety rules.
  • Each department is represented on the Safety Team, including production and management.
  • All employees are expected to serve at least one term on the committee.
  • Personnel receive specialized training. Additional instruction is provided periodically to reinforce safety measures.
